SKILLS/ABILITIES

Research

  • Having Good Research skills has been fundamental to my work in both Graphic Design and Games Art and Design.
  • I have contacted industry professionals for their thoughts and advice when researching.
  • I have to make sure I’m up to date with Technical skills and Program releases.
  • I try to make sure I use many different sources of information to get a board and in-depth understanding of my research topics.

Working to Briefs and Deadlines

  • I have been working to deadlines and briefs since I started College and I have an in-depth understanding of time management, making sure I stick to the brief and make sure it is constantly referred to thorough out a project.
  • I feel that time management is an integral part of working in the creative industries and I’m constantly trying to improve these skills and I’m getting better with each project.

3D Modelling – Character and Creature Design

  • I have been modelling for three years now. I can use: Silo, Maya and Zbrush for 3D modelling. I’m currently learning how to use Mudbox.
  • I can Low-ploy Model, High-poly sculpt and polypaint. I also have basic knowledge of Rigging, weight painting, texturing (using Adobe Photoshop) and how to make UVs for texturing.

Graphic Design

  • I studied Graphic design for two years before the Games design course but I still try to keep up with graphic design practises and workflow.
  • I can use Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop for graphic design work.
Related Hobbies and Interests

  • I read and I’m a fan of Graphic novels and their art.
  • I spend some of my spare time painting Warhammer miniatures for my friends.
  • I play and keep up to date with computer games and games theory.
  • I watch special effect films and may other types of film.
  • I watch animation Films and TV shows.
