Wild Life Documentaries

As well as researching TV and film I also thought it would help my research if I look at the natural world to get inspiration and knowledge. I also remembered that the BBC did programmes on prehistory in the form of the walking with trilogy, so my fist port of call was with Walking With Dinosaurs.

Walking With Dinosaurs.

This documentary was helpful because it showed me how dinosaurs may have gone about their lives, hunted, mated etc which is some thing I will have to think of when I’m creating my own creatures and i will think back and use the skills  I learnt when I was doing the aquatic life project in the first year.

Walking With Monsters

Though this series didn’t have any dinosaurs in it it was useful in two ways, it was good for insperation and it had good theory’s of evolution.

Planet Earth

As well as looking at prehistory I decided to look at the natural world to look at modern animals to see if there was any part of their behavior that I could use in my design proses, this will help people relate and make my creations more believable. Also the show was helpful for environment design and has beautiful shots of the many different parts of the planet.
